Middle Tennessee State University baseball coach Jim McGuire visited Central to talk with the senior team members. He spent about an hour explaining the college recruitment process. "The players were honored and delighted with the talk, and, for some, it sparked a new interest in Blue Raider baseball," said Buddy Powers, Tiger head coach.
The CMS Tigers baseball program has received funding to enclose dugouts at the Starplex field. This is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Richard Siegel Foundation. Thanks to baseball parent Hilary Stallings for her time and effort in writing this grant, and thanks to MidSouth Bank/ Gina King for overseeing this process and selecting us. "Getting this field in better shape is a tremendous step in the progress of our baseball program," said Buddy Powers, Tigers head coach.

Congratulations to CMS graduate Mo Foster who becomes the first former Tiger to make a collegiate roster. The standout, whose pitching helped Cental capture its first state tournament win, is now playing baseball for Carson-Newman.
