Tigers win!!! Tigers win game 1 of TSSAA-AA tournament, defeating Dyersburg 6-5. Game 2 is tomorrow, May 22. First pitch is 45 minutes after the conclusion of 10 a.m. game at Smyrna High School.

Tigers win District 8AA tournament in only their second year of varsity play. Team advances to regional play after defeating Upperman 8-1 in the district finals.

Congratulations to MS Tigers Dylan Jenkins and James Touchton. Jenkins was named to the TMSAA district all-conference team. Touchton was named to the all-tournament team. See photo

Congratulations to varsity Tigers Colt Flippo and Austin Whorley who were named as team MVPs and honored during the 20th Annual DNJ All Sports Banquet.

Tryouts for 2013-2014 season are June 12. Grades 6-8, 9-11a.m., and high school, 11 a.m. - noon at Tigerplex. All prospective players must attend tryouts. Current CMS team members are not required to attend.

Tigers win region semifinal game – With aggressive base running, the Tigers manufactured nine runs off just six hits to beat Sequatchie County 9-2 in the Region 4-AA semifinals. Central had 12 stolen bases and drew five walks.  Will Norfleet (4-0) collected the win. Alex Ropp pitched the final 2 1/3 innings, striking out five.  Tyler Egawa scored two runs for Central Magnet. Norfleet had a double and two RBIs.

District title! Behind Alex Ropp’s strong pitching effort, and two-out rallies, the Tigers defeated Smith County 12-0 in five innings to clinch first place in District 8AA in only their second year of competing in the TSSAA level. See scores.
